GUITAR BOUZOUKI, an eight stringed instrument, is a “cousin” to mando-family of instruments (Octave Mandolons and Mandocellos), but built as a flattop.
This instrument, tuned as an Irish Bouzouki - a, D, A, D - is designed to sound closer to a classical Irish instrument but with a more powerful and colourful sound. The construction of this very unique instrument allows the use of octave mandolin tuning as well (g, D, A, E) – with paired or octave strings on g and D. This tuning can be successfully used for many Celtic and American folk styles.
This stock Guitar Bouzouki is a re-designed model made by Roman in 2023. Flamed Maple b&s and Bearclaw Spruce has nice all-body sunburst and the top design is emphased by Flamed Maple convex rosette and ivoroid binding. Rosette ring and top purfling are made from multiple b/w trims. Nickel plated GOTOH mandolin tuners with black oval knobs only keep its extraordinary look.
