SQUARENECK RESONATOR is a guitar equipped with an aluminium cone, well known under the name dobro. While the "Dobro" is a registered trademark now, the resonator guitar name is used for all kind of these of instruments nowadays.
We created, however, completely new kind of instrument – not only as to the design, but also as to the inner construction.
We do not use nor standard „soundwell“ neither „soundposts“ construction, but designed the top like a self-supporting guitar top with double-X braced top with integrated ground base for the resonator. We use also metal baffles integrated to the body at the end block area and also small metal baffles in the sound holes. All these elements together with standardly used Beard cones and the traditional „14-style” spider bridge give to this instrument excellent powerful sound that many contemporary players request.
This squareneck has Curly Mahogany body and neck, Ebony fingerboard, Beard cone, A-shape peghead in Ebony & Curly Mahogany combination and Schaller GrandTune tuners.
